"Coming of Age in Ancient Greece."
Location: Dartmouth College
Description: To bring the exhibition
to life for visitors of all ages, the design of
cases and sculpture plinths were modeled on furniture represented in
the
objects themselves. The layout of an excavated ancient Greek house was
adapted to the gallery space to serve as an education area for hands
on
activities. Strong color was used to complement the display and
differentiate the organizing themes. This exhibition was one of the most
heavily attended in the history of the Hood museum.
